Regardless of receptor speed, there is a substantial percentage dose saving with the new x-ray collimator in complying with the ALARA principle to keep x-ray dose as low as reasonably achievable. It works with film, phosphorus plates, and digital sensors.

IMPORTANT: The FocusXC collimator should only be steam autoclaved, other forms of sterilization are not recommended. The temperature of the autoclave should not exceed 270 °F or 132 °C.
